Project Scheduling Information - Updated Jan. 16, 2011

  • installation of services within the courtyard, ongoing (some demolition work continues throughout January).
  • core drilling, 1st floor, adjacent to south stairwell
  • wall section removal, 1st floor, south corridor, mid January
  • window repairs/replacement along east side of building ongoing throughout January
  • Drywalling, painting of Phase One Lab areas ongoing throughout January, early February
  • Electrical and Heating/Ventillation work, ongoing - East Wing/North Wing?South Wing
  • Ground Floor - Electrical Upgrades, Sprinkler System Rough Ins (Fire Supression)
  • Rough In of new Elevator in North Corridor
  • Masonry infilling within construction zone, ongoing
  • Installation of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical services ongoing

Overall estimated completion date for Phase One is May 1, 2011.

Construction activity continues over the next two weeks.  Noise associated with concrete cutting, core drilling, etc. occurs. Due to current construction activities, sections of various corridors will be closed from time to time. Access to the 2nd floor via the north-east stairwell is closed.

Access to Natural Sciences ground floor tunnel open to general public. Access to Western Sciences via tunnel closed indefinitely.
